I actually had this question why zoom is not working in my laptop other day and could not find the answer in the Microsoft Community questions and answers section.

Hi Elsie, Thank you kindly for the suggestion, but if you read my question and answer closely I was NOT trying to adjust my screen resolution or alter the size of my text. My issue was specifically with the size of my Windows desktop appearing larger than the actual size of my monitor's screen so that parts of it went past the visible area.
I did try adjusting my resolution, but it had no effect on my problem beyond making all my icons and text larger; parts of the desktop still went beyond where I could see them.
